Parish Office & Village Museum, Church Street
Situated in the heart of the old village, are the recently refurbished Parish Office and Village Museum. The Parish Clerk is in the office most weekday mornings and parishioners are welcome to call in but to avoid a wasted journey it would be preferable to telephone first on 817301 to ensure the office is open.
The museum is not yet open but is expected to re-open in the new year with a display of local artefacts and pictures of the locality and characters of the parish dating from the late 1800's.
Village Allotments, Haglands Lane
The Parish Council own a small number of allotments in the centre of West Chiltington Common off Haglands Lane. If you would like to know more about availablity, please contact the Clerk to the Parish at wcpcclerk@aol.com
Haglands Carpark
A short stay, fee free parking for allotment users and customers of the shops and businesses opposite and which also acts as the village's glass recycling collection point.
Recreation Ground and Pavilion
Found next to the Village Hall in Mill Road, the Recreation Ground is owned by the National Playing Fields Association and is home to a number of sporting groups including West Chiltington's Football, Tennis, Cricket and the Croquet clubs. The Pavilion and Recreation Ground which includes a children's playground, skateboard park, basketball practice area and large car park is managed by the Parish Council. We endeavour to keep this area clean and a great amenity for all the local residents. We have provided many bins in the area but unfortunately the area has seen an increase in litter. A Parish Council member took time out to clean this area up and this is what was found in a few hours. Can we remind dog owners they are able to double bag their dogs mess and place these bags in the council bins provided.
The upgraded foot bridge at the bottom of the recreation ground has finally been completed using money from our 106 contributions. This links the two recreation areas and allows access up towards Nutbourne via the footpaths.

Out & About
VOLUNTEERS
Meeting on the 3rd Sunday of the month (weather permitting of course, but the more hardy ones tend to wrap up warm and brave the rain if it's not too heavy !).
MWVG is a small group of friends, neighbours and interested parties who get together to carry out light, varied seasonal conservation work in Monkmead Wood's.
Nothing too strenuous and if you like cutting down branches, helping to clear river banks or pulling a few sapplings, you'll have a lot of fun.
