West Chiltington Community School are looking for volunteers who would be interested in becoming governors. They have three vacancies and would welcome applications from our wider community. You don’t need to have a background in education though we would always welcome people with knowledge of schools. Often there are other personal and professional skills which can support the work of the school for example, financial expertise or a background in health and safety. We like to think of ourselves as a friendly, welcoming group who usually meet twice each term for a couple of hours. MONKMEAD WOOD

VOLUNTEERS

Meeting on the 3rd Saturday of the month (weather permitting of course, but the more hardy ones tend to wrap up warm and brave the rain if it's not too heavy !).

MWVG is a small group of friends, neighbours and interested parties who get together to carry out light, varied seasonal conservation work in Monkmead Wood's.

Nothing too strenuous and if you like cutting down branches, helping to clear river banks or pulling a few sapplings, you'll have a lot of fun.
