We have had a very unusual start to the Spring term with all of the snow! Our thanks to all those members of the community who supported our requests to highways to clear the roads –it did take quite some time!

We now have a group of 11 community members who come in weekly across the school and give superb support to the teachers hearing readers and helping in classes. With their help staff are able to plan for every child to read regularly – a difficult task when you have 30 children in a class! If you would like to support in this way do phone the school and you will be guarenteed a warm welcome!

This term we are taking part in Fair Trade Fortnight and continuing to build on our links with other schools Nationally and Internationally

In March we will be holding our annual Bookweek and would welcome any residents who would like to share books with small groups of children – more information to follow

The garden work has been delayed with the snow but we are hoping to reschedule the start for next week

The performance this term will highlight the acting and singing of our older children but there will still be the opportunity to hear the younger ones in the Spring Concert which involves the whole school.

We are currently collecting the Flora Cookery vouchers and Box Tops for books and would appreciate your support with this
